Laura M. Daddio

Laura M. Daddio, age 84, peacefully entered into eternal rest on November 16, 2017, at The Hospital of Central Connecticut-New Britain Campus. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph N. Daddio Sr.

Mrs. Daddio was born in Shelton on July 23, 1933, daughter of the late John Randazise and Lee Passander Marino. A lifelong resident of Derby, she was a graduate of Derby High School Class of 1952 and St. Agnes Nursing School. She was employed in tool control at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford for twenty-one years, until her retirement in 1999. Laura lived for her family. They were her joys”. She loved to cook and entertain for family and friends and was an avid fan of the New England Patriots.

She leaves to cherish her memory, loving sons, Tom Daddio Sr. (Jodi) of Midlothian, VA, Joseph N. Daddio Jr. (Theresa) of Plymouth, MA and John W. Daddio Sr. (Maritta) of New Britain, a loving daughter, Laureen D. Marcucio (Peter) of Washington, CT, cherished grandchildren, Erin Collins, Matthew Marcucio, Thomas Daddio Jr., Anna Bell, Daniel Marcucio, Joseph N. Daddio III, Emilee Daddio, Alexandra Daddio and John W. Daddio Jr., great-grandchildren, Liam, Lydia, Krystina and Ethan, sister, Patricia Sentementis (Michael) of Danbury and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by daughters, Nancy Lee Daddio and Laura Daddio, a brother, Anthony P. Randazise and a sister, Joan Poeta. 

Visiting hours will be held on Monday November 20, 2017, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, her funeral will begin at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Derby. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Laura’s memory may be made to St. Lucians Home, 532 Burritt Street, New Britain, CT 06053 or through the funeral home.
