Lawrence R. Quesnell

Lawrence R. Quesnell, 87, peacefully entered into eternal rest on February 13, 2017, in his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Philomena Coppola Quesnell.

Mr. Quesnell was born in Fulton, NY on June 10, 1929, son of the late Lawrence and Gladys Reynolds Quesnell. He was a resident of Ansonia for over fifty years before moving to Shelton. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Larry was employed as Textron/Lycoming in Stratford where he retired as a foreman. Following his retirement, he went back to work as a school bus driver in Ansonia, Derby and Orange where he made many positive lasting impressions. He was a former member of the American Legion.

He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving son, Mark L. Quesnell of Derby, a loving daughter, MaryAnn Piccolo and her husband Joseph of Langhorne, PA, a sister, Rita Scheets of Milford, cherished granddaughter, Sara R. Piccolo of Bensalem, PA and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Harold and Edward Quesnell.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday February 16, 2017, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver St. in Ansonia. On Friday, at 10:00 am, relatives and friends are invited to meet directly at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment with U.S. Army military honors will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
