Leo Grabinski, Sr., age 77, of 26 Shelview Dr. Shelton, entered into rest on Monday April 21, 2014 in Griffin Hospital with his loving family by his side.
He is the devoted husband of 59 years to Phyllis Gudewicz Grabinski.
He was born in Nanticoke, PA on August 19, 1936, son of the late Stanley and Celia Grabinski, Sr. and was a Shelton resident of 50 years.
Leo owned and operated the Park Manor Restaurant in Bridgeport for 20 years. After selling his restaurant, he continued his career at Testo’s Restaurant.
After his retirement, he was employed as a Driver for Hy’s Limousine Company.
He is the beloved father of Leo Grabinski, Jr. (Carol), Brian Grabinski (Deena), David Grabinski (Linda) and Thomas Grabinski; loving grandfather of Deanna, Amy, Roxanne, David, Jr., Brian, Jr., Ryan, Anthony, and Kayla; brother of Stanley Grabinski, Jr. (Lillian). He is also survived by five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a son Richard Grabinski and a sister Eleanor Zommer.
Friends may call on Friday from 4 pm to 7 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. His funeral service will be held on Friday Evening at 6 pm in the funeral home. His burial will be private.
