Leona Polaski, of Shelton, died Wednesday, July 1, at Hewitt Memorial Hospital.
She was 91.
Polaski was the devoted wife of the late Theodore Polaski.
She was born in Dickson City, Pa., on June 25, 1918, daugther of the late Frank and Bridget Yanik Mycko.
She was a Shelton resident since 1939 and worked for many years at the former Roberk Co., and the former Wire Novelty until her retirement.
She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church since it inception and a former member of Shelton Senior Center.
Polaski is survived by her grandchildren Jason, Adam, Michael, and David Polaski; great grandchildren, Danielle and Blake. She was predeceased by her son, David Polaski; five brothers, Alfred, Walter, Edward, Jack and Chester Mycko; and one sister; Stella Stepp.
Friends may call on Monday morning from 8:30 am to 9:30 a.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth St. Derby.
Her funeral procession will leave the funeral home on Monday at 9:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church.
