Leonardo F. Cirino

Leonardo F. Cirino, 50, entered into eternal rest on July 7, 2016, at Griffin Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

Lenny was born in Derby on Feb. 5, 1966, beloved son of Carmela Ferlisi Cirino of Ansonia and the late Andrea Cirino. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, he was employed as a tradesman in the construction business and was the former owner of Straight Edge Construction. He was currently employed as the Warehouse Manager at Ener-G-Tech in Stratford. Lenny enjoyed music, dancing, cars, shooting, Disney and sweets. He was very fond of animals and pets, especially his late canine buddy Stormy. He loved having a good time” but above all, he loved his family and always reminisced about family events and how important it is to stay together.

In addition to his mother Carmela, he has one loving sister, Nancy A. Deptula (Edward) of Shelton and is survived by a son, Andrew F. Cirino of Ansonia, step-daughters, Sarah Litvinoff of Shelton and Katie Litvinoff of FL, nephews, Edward and Zachary Deptula, his special love, Maria Landona of Shelton, uncles, Frank Cirino of Seymour and Philip Cirino (Nicolina) of IN, aunts, Toni Tillquist of Derby, Josephine Sileci (Gino) and Maria Cannavo (Nick) of IA, dear friends, Pasquale and Colleen Borgesano of Seymour along with many lifelong loving cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 10, 2016, from 2 – 5 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, his funeral will commence at 9:45 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Lenny’s memory may be made to the Ansonia Animal Shelter, 2 Elm Street, Ansonia or through the funeral home.
