Liberato Andre Simeone, a 78 year old Bridgeport resident, entered into eternal rest March 9, 2022.
He was born on October 28, 1943 in Gaeta, Italy to the late Gaetano and Rosina Simeone.
Before moving to the United States, Liberato was a chef in Italy on various ships worldwide. Liberato was a Bridgeport resident, and his deceased wife, Concetta Simeone, began a small bread delivery business. Once retired, Liberato enjoyed cooking and hosting gatherings at his home, with doors open for anyone to eat. He enjoyed singing to his grandchildren, especially on their birthdays.
He enjoyed being the center of attention, singing for the guest at local restaurant Ralph and Rich’s. Liberato passed away on March 9, 2022, peacefully. In addition to his late wife Concetta, he leaves to cherish his memory to his devoted family, his son Americo and wife Yesenia Simeone, his daughters Rosa Simeone and her devoted partner Brian Davis and Maria Katiewicz and her devoted partner Hector Nieves, his sisters Vittoria Simeone, and Ferminia Simeone, his brothers Francesco Simeone, Giovanni Simeone, Cosimo Simeone, Damiano Simeone, most importantly his six grandchildren Juliana Swan, Shawn Sowell, and wife Ariana Sowell, Lucas Simeone and his partner Desiree Reyes, Giada Simeone, Giovanni Simeone and Greyson Simeone, two beloved great-grandchildren Analiz Texidor and Milanni Simeone and her beloved grand puppies Pixie & Lola his leone di Roma (his Italian lion).
Family and friends may call at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia on Monday March 14 from 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. He will be buried at Mountain Meadows Cemetery in Seymour, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to his family in his memory.
