Mrs. Lillian M. O’Connell, age 90, of Oxford, beloved wife of the late Howard J. O’Connell, passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at Shady Knoll Health Center, Seymour.
She was born on July 5, 1919 in Bridgeport to the late Eugene and Mary (Hiefle) Marsh. Mrs. O’Connell worked at Lifetouch Studios in Derby for a few years before her retirement. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle and a member of the Ladies Guild.
She is survived by her devoted daughter, Kathleen O’Connell of Oxford and three loving sons, John H. O’Connell of Brunswick, Maine, Thomas E. O’Connell of Beacon Falls and Michael D. O’Connell of Oxford. She also leaves four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, March 2 at 9:45 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 161 West Church Street, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford.
