Linda Ann Richter, a 78 year old Oxford resident and loving wife of 59 years to William A. Richter Sr., passed away at Benchmark Senior Living in Shelton on August 26.
She was born Feb. 16, 1941 in Derby, daughter of the late Henry & Katherine Bariluk Rader. Linda graduated from Seymour High School, class of ’58 and attended The Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing.
She was a longtime member of The Seymour Methodist Church. She was also an enthusiast for tag sales and loved to quilt. Linda worked for CVS in Ansonia, and Klarides Market in Seymour.
In addition to her husband, she leaves to cherish her memory her son William A. Richter Jr. & wife Lynn of Oxford, daughters Kathie Matthews & husband Gary of Seymour and Linda Polke & her husband Dr. David Polke of Southbury, 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Linda will be buried privately in the family plot in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. There are no calling hours.
