Linda M. Swinski

Linda M. Swinski, age, 61, entered into eternal rest on July 6, 2021, at Griffin Hospital in Derby, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Linda was born in Derby on May 2, 1960, beloved daughter of Joseph J. Swinski Jr. of Derby, and the late Josephine Soboleski Swinski. A 1978 graduate of Derby High School, she was employed as an inspector at Pratt & Whitney in North Haven until her retirement. She was a devout communicant of St. Jude Church in Derby where she served as the coordinator of the rotation of the St. Jude statue.

She also worked tirelessly for the church stuffing thousands of eggs for their Easter egg hunt, making goodie bags for their Halloween party and getting donation and gift cards as well as making her famous pierogis for their annual festival. Christmas was Linda’s favorite holiday, she especially enjoyed all the decorations.

She loved playing bingo and all things Disney. Linda was a huge fan of the NY Giants, the Boston Red Sox, UCONN women’s basketball and CT Sun Women’s professional basketball. A trip to the casino was always a fun day for her.

In addition to her father Joe, Linda leaves to cherish her memory, a sister, Sharon Ardito (Tony) of Gold Canyon, AZ, a brother, Joseph J. Swinski III (Grace) of Cranston, RI, nephews, Walter Ardito and Nicholas Ardito both of AZ, and Christopher Ardito of VT, nieces, Lilian Ardito of CT, and Olive and Ivy Swinski of RI
