Linda Rose Santangelo

Linda Rose Santangelo, 69, a lifelong resident of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on March 15, 2017, at CT Hospice in Branford, with her family by her side. 

Wife of the late Albert Santangelo Sr., Linda was born in Derby on May 9, 1947, daughter of the late Ignatius and Claire DiLisio Mendyk. A graduate of Ansonia High School, she worked as an aide in the Ansonia school system for many years, until her retirement.

A devoted wife and mother, she loved animals and was a fiercely loyal friend. Her faith in God was unshakable, and she had immeasurable courage and strength of spirit.

She is survived by a loving and devoted son, Albert Santangelo Jr. and his wife Statyra Foster-Santangelo, of West Haven; a loving daughter, Melissa Bauco, and her husband, Anthony Bauco, of Horseheads, NY; and grandsons, Sebastian and Justin Bauco.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering and celebration of Linda’s life on Saturday March 25, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Private burial will take place in St. Michael Cemetery in Derby.
