Lisa Spinelli, 55, of Bridgeville, Delaware, formerly of Ansonia, Connecticut, born October 9, 1969, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
A fierce and loyal woman, Lisa loved her family and friends without reservation. Lisa was a true animal lover. Throughout her lifetime, Lisa owned scores of dogs, cats, small animals, birds, and lizards. If an animal needed a home, Lisa would give it one.
Lisa grew up in Seymour, Connecticut, graduating from Seymour High School in 1989 and would go on to own and operate various businesses with her family.
Lisa was devoted to caring for her family members when they needed it. Without hesitation, she cared for her late mother and grandmother, she was a mainstay in her nieces’ and nephews’ early years and as they grew up, and had been steadfast with caring for her father.
Lisa was a hard worker, waking early to be sure the Bridgeville Food Lion operated smoothly each day.
Lisa is survived by her father Michael R. Spinelli, brothers Michael J Spinelli of Connecticut and Craig Spinelli of Florida, cousin Dana Skawinski of Connecticut, best friend Christa Parady of Bridgeville, Delaware, also nieces Kailey Rodriguez of Florida, Krysta Lemieux of New Jersey, Ella Skawinski, Emma Lemieux and nephews Michael R. Spinelli of Connecticut, Tyler Spinelli of Florida, Case Skawinski, Colton Lemieux, and Caiden Spinelli, as well as many other family members and dear friends.
She was predeceased by her mother Adeline Spinelli and grandparents Virginia and Michael Spinelli. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held on Saturday April 12, 2025 at 2:00pm in Delaware.
