Lloyd “Buddy” George, 54, of New Haven and Ansonia, passed away on March 8, 2011, at the Yale Smilow Cancer Center, after a brief illness.
Mr. George was born in New Haven, son of the late Lloyd and Harriet Hawley George. He graduated from Ansonia High School in 1975 and attended Waterbury Technical College. Lloyd resided in Baltimore, MD for 18 years before moving back to CT in 1999.
He is survived by one son, Timothy Dawson of New Haven, one daughter, Tomika George Holland of New Haven, two sisters, Shelley George Henry of Ansonia and Tracy George of Waterbury, five grandchildren, a niece, a grand nephew and cousins.
A memorial service in celebration of Lloyd’s life will be held Tuesday March 15, 2011, at 5:00 pm at Clinton A.M.E. Zion Church, 96 Central St. in Ansonia, with the Rev. Valerie Maness officiating. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
