Lorna Guarascio, age 66, of Derby, entered into rest on Saturday December 4, 2021 in Yale New Haven Hospital. She was born in Derby on August 10, 1955 daughter of the late Carmen and Jean (Garofalo) Guarascio and was a life long resident of Derby.
Lorna earned her Bachelor Degree in Business Management from Sacred Heart University. She was employed for many years as a manager in the health care field at Health Net.
She loved to dance and took part in many recitals. She always enjoyed her father’s cooking especially his meatballs and sauce and family dinners with her niece and nephew.
She is the beloved sister of Anthony Guarascio and Anthony’s wife Mary Andrew and Aunt of Sharon Guarascio, and Anthony Guarascio, Jr and his wife Shannon and great aunt of Adriana Guarascio. She is also survived by her best friend and supportive caregiver Beverly Menosky and Betty Leigh, Beverly’s Mother.
Friends may call on Thursday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. Mask are required to attend. Her funeral will leave the funeral home at 11:45 am for a Mass of Christian at 12:00 in St. Mary Church, Derby. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby.
