Lorraine B. Necio, 91, a Seymour resident since 1965, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday evening November 1, 2016, at Hewitt Health & Rehab in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of sixty-eight years to Michael C. Necio.
Mrs. Necio was born in Derby on March 20, 1925. She was a graduate of Assumption School in Ansonia and attended Ansonia High School. Lorraine was employed by the Farrel Corporation in Ansonia for thirteen years and later at the former Big Y Supermarket in Seymour before her retirement. She was a communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour where she faithfully attended Mass and a member of its Women’s Guild. Throughout her life, Lorraine was devoted to her family church, faith and led an active lifestyle.
In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by sons, Raymond Necio and Mark Necio, four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and a sister, Lauretta Miskowicz.
Visiting will take place on Monday November 7, 2016, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, her funeral will commence at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Seymour. Interment will immediately follow in St. Augustine Cemetery in Seymour.
