Lorraine M. Boladz, age 87, wife of the late Henry Boladz and resident of Derby, entered into eternal rest July 1.
She was born June 2, 1926 in Oakville, CT., daughter of the late Mateo & Agnes Longo Giannini.
Lorraine was a parishioner of St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia as well as a member of The Ansonia Senior Center. Lorraine was a devoted wife and mother, and enjoyed bingo trips to the casino, reading and following the Boston Red Sox.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son Robert A . Boladz & his wife Deborasue of Derby, two sisters Helene Zibello & her husband Anthony of Naugatuck, & Marguerite Badamo of Watertown, two grandchildren, Carly & Cassie Boladz and several nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Michael Giannini and two sisters, Agnes Ventresca & Marion Culmo.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 5th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Church in Ansonia. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. There are no calling hours. The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. (www.jenkinskingfh.com)
