Lorraine Mirabile

Lorraine Mirabile, 78, beloved wife of Angelo Mirabile, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday morning Aug. 7 at the Griffin Hospital.

Lorraine was born in Derby on Jan. 21, 1931 daughter of the late Charles and Tillie Metzler Owen. A resident of Ansonia for 51 years, she had worked as a teacher at the Maple Street School (Anna LoPresti School) in Seymour for 10 years prior to devoting her time to raise her three daughters.

Besides her husband Angelo, she is survived by three daughters, Suzanne Mirabile and Roseanne Mirabile of Ansonia and Lori Dorais of Woodbridge, a cherished granddaughter Ashley Dorais of Woodbridge and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral on Tuesday Aug. 11, 2009 at 10 a.m. from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia followed by a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at the Seymour Congregational Church, 15 Broad Street in Seymour. 

Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery in Ansonia. Visiting hours will be held on TUESDAY MORNING from 9 am until the procession leaves for church.
