Lorraine Piscioneri, age 86 of Derby, entered into eternal rest on Monday November 9, 2015 in St. Vincent’s Medical Center Bridgeport. She was the devoted wife of the late Michael A. Piscioneri.
Mrs. Piscioneri was born in Derby on November 11, 1928 daughter of the late Joseph and Stefania (Slupski) Rubel, and was a lifelong Derby resident.
She was a lady of great faith, who loved her family above all else, and took pride in her home, where family and friends loved to gather.
She is the beloved mother of Marianne Axelrod and her husband Robert, Michael Piscioneri and his wife Krissy and Julianne Staffieri and her husband Aldo. She is the cherished grandmother of David and Gregory Axelrod. She is the caring step grandmother of Kyle Jones and Lianna and Cara Staffieri. She also leaves several loving nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two brothers Joseph and Julian Rubel.
Friends may greet her family on Thursday from 3 to 7 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. On Friday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:15 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM in St. Michael’s Church Derby. Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery Derby.
