Lorraine Prihoda, a 64 year old Derby resident and wife of the late Robert Prihoda, entered into eternal rest Jan. 1, 2020 at Griffin hospital in Derby.
She was born April 21, 1955 in Derby. Lorraine worked for The W.E. Bassett Company, as well as The Charter Arms Co., and was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church in Derby. Lorraine loved animals, was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed spending time with her family in The White Mountains of New Hampshire. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Robert Prihoda (Amy) of Oxford, daughter Lisa Prihoda (Walter) of Derby, her mother Frances Tamburrino Dorso of Derby, brother-in-law Billy Prihoda (Beverly) of Derby, four sisters Jeanne Davidson-Green of West Haven, Roxanne Fredericks of Derby, Theresa Salzano of Derby and Bernadette Dorso of Derby, grandchildren, Sharelle, Giovanni, Zandrew, Anthony & Skylar, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great aunts and her cat ‘Mew-Mew.’
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her father Charlie Dorso. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9 at Our Lady, Queen of the Apostles Church at St. Mary’s Parish in Derby. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at The Jenkins King & Malerba Funeral Home, 12 Franklin St. Ansonia.
