Louis A. Miani, age 79, of Derby, peacefully entered into eternal rest on July 25, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Cheryl Beverly Miani.
Mr. Miani was born in Derby on Nov. 6, 1937, son of the late Gaetano and Frances DeFelice Miani. He was employed as a mechanic at the former W.R. Archer Co and B.F. I. and retired from CT Disposal Service in Stratford. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife Cheryl, he leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Anthony Miani of OH and Rick Miani (Ilana) of Hamden, a brother, Robert Miani (Shirley) of Derby, sisters, Anna Boland (William) of Derby, Jeanne Cimino (Frank) of Guilford and Lori Cenkus (Jack) of Westbrook, cherished grandsons, Anthony Miani and Zachary Miani and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Elizabeth Peters and Virginia Powers.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 27, 2017, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, a funeral service in celebration of Lou’s life will take place at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Leonard Kvedas officiating. Entombment with U.S. Army military honors will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Mausoleum.
