Louis F. Cesaroni, age 70, of Derby lost his courageous battle to pancreatic cancer surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday November 21, 2017 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. He was the beloved husband of 16 years to Ann Cesaroni. Lou was born on April 24,1947 in Derby, the son of the late Gino and Evelyn (Falcioni) Cesaroni.
Lou was a lifelong Derby resident and was employed in their Public Works department for over 20 years until his retirement. He was the Head Coach of the Derby High School Girls Basketball team and the Assistant Coach of the Ansonia High School Girls Basketball team for many years. He was an avid NY Yankees, NY Giants, and UCONN sports fan. Lou loved to vacation down the Jersey shore.
Besides his wife, Lou is survived by step son Vincent Guerrero and his wife Maria, his 2 step daughters Angela Faroni (Adam O’Donnell) and Marie Faroni, his cherished grandchildren Lylah, Lacey, Cameron and Lexi, his brother Gino Cesaroni and his wife Heather, his sister MaryAnn Simler and her husband Jerry, several nieces and nephews, and his loyal dog Roxie.
Friends may greet Lou’s family on Wednesday November 29 from 4:30 to 6:30 PM in the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street Derby. His funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 6:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family through the funeral home.
