Louis H. Boneski Sr.

Louis H. Boneski Sr., age 83, peacefully entered eternal rest on June 7, 2023, in the comfort of his home, with his loving family by his side. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Myllmaki Boneski.

Louis was born in Webster, MA on August 22, 1939, son of the late Anthony Boneski Sr. and Virginia Denham Forand. He was a resident of Massachusetts before moving to Connecticut almost two years ago. He was employed as a boiler engineer until his retirement. Lou and Helen loved to travel, especially making several trips to Niagara Falls and Hawaii. He was a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics, and New England Patriots where he enjoyed attending many of their games. Lou also enjoyed gardening.

He leaves to cherish his memory, sons, Louis H. Boneski Jr. (Kim) of Meriden, Mark Boneski of PA, Matthew Boneski (Catherine) of Seymour, with whom he made his home, and Timothy Boneski (Kristin) of New Milford, daughters, Elizabeth Sullivan (Kevin) of Burlington, MA and Linda Boneski of Ansonia, brothers, Joseph Forand Jr., and, Albert Forand Sr. of MA, sisters, Connie Misale of Willimantic, CT, and Charlene Jones of MA, sixteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his step-father, Joseph Pete” Forand, brothers, Richard Boneski Sr., Joseph Boneski, Anthony Boneski Jr., John Forand, and Thomas Forand.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his graveside funeral service on Saturday June 17, 2023, at 11:00 am at Halifax Central Cemetery, 60 Hemlock Lane in Halifax, MA, with Deacon Mark Gervais, officiating.
