Louis R. Fattarusso Sr.

Louis R. Fattarusso Sr., 84, of Shelton, entered into eternal rest on June 24, 2014, at Griffin Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Lucille Cash Fattarusso.

Mr. Fattarusso was born in Ansonia on September 28, 1929, son of the late Frank and Philomena Nuzzo Fattarusso. A resident of Shelton for sixty years, he was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft for many years until his retirement. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, he honorably served during the Korean Conflict. Lou was an active member of the Shelton Senior Center. He loved to dance and was a devoted fan of the NY Yankees, NY Giants and UConn Basketball.

He is survived by a loving son, Louis R. Fattarusso Jr. of Ithaca, NY, a loving daughter, Diane Federowicz (William) of Oxford, cherished grandchildren, Jennifer Federowicz of Oxford and Scott Federowicz of Middlebury and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by sisters, Mary Palumbo, Rose Stassi and Carmela Zalenski.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Friday June 27, 2014, at 9:30 am at Holy Rosary Church, 10 Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. 

Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. 

Visiting hours will be held on Friday morning from 8:00 am until the procession leaves for church at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
