Louise A. Dziuba, age 86, of Derby entered into rest on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Shady Knoll Health Center. She was born in Derby on April 13, 1937 daughter of the late John and Julia (Marganski) Dziuba and was a lifelong Derby resident. She was the salutatorian of her graduating class at Derby High School. Louise was the executive secretary of the former Cana House in Hamden for 15 years.
After working with her family for many years at the Curtain Lady Shoppe in Milford she became the operator and owner until her retirement. She was a very devout catholic who was was a reader and member of choirs at both St. Jude Church and St. Mary Church. Louise was also a member of the Padre Pio Prayer Group at Holy Rosary Church.
She was also an avid sports fan of the UCONN Women’s Basketball, New York Yankees and the New England Patriots. She was the beloved sister of Jackline Dziuba (Marc Ryckelynck) and was also survived by many cousins and friends. On Tuesday, friends may greet the family from 4 to 7 pm. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Wednesday, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 am for her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at St. Mary Church. Her burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
