Louise C. Cappiello, age 95, peacefully entered eternal rest on Friday evening, December 23, 2022, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Walter Cappiello Sr.
Louise was born in Derby on May 24, 1927, daughter of the late Ralph and Carmela Ortoli Mancini. A resident of Ansonia since 1958, she was employed in the business office at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven for twenty-five years, until her retirement in 1992. Louise was an avid reader, loved to cook and bake and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In years past, she and Walter had fond memories of attending plays at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam.
She is survived by a loving son, Walter Cappiello Jr. of Ansonia, loving daughters, Lynette Pawluk of Ansonia and Laura Cappiello of Branford, granddaughters, Nicole Kingston (Peter) and Jaime Jaffer (Jay) of Orange, great-grandchildren, Ty, Katy and Ady Kingston and James Jaffer as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Whitey Pawluk, brothers, Andrew and Domenic Mancini and a sister, Julie Andreucci.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family and pay their respects on Friday morning December 30, 2022, from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Her funeral will then proceed to the Church of the Assumption, 61 N. Cliff Street in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
