Louise Helen Sciarretti, age 91, of Coral Springs, FL and formerly of Derby, CT, peacefully entered into rest on December 19, 2020 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the beloved wife to the late Albert “Sonny” Sciarretti. She was born in Derby on March 4, 1929 the daughter of the late John and Anna (Butrymowicz) Kobziak. Louise was a longtime Nurse and retired in 2011 from Marshall Lane Manor in Derby. She was a member of the St. Mary’s Ladies Guild and also the Marchigian Club. For those that knew her, knew that her family was her greatest love and she especially loved the family get-togethers. She enjoyed cooking, baking and was always sending her children recipes especially around the holiday season. She thoroughly loved playing games such as scrabble or crossword puzzles.
Her family will always have fond memories of Louise dancing the polka with her husband at any gathering. She is survived by three daughters, Laurie Walsh of Derby, Idie Jones and her husband Mario of Coral Springs, FL, and Linda Lucibello and Ed Jooss of Branford; one son Albert Sciarretti Jr. and Colleen Sciarretti of Beacon Falls; her grandchildren John Jones, Vincent Sciarretti, Kayla Sciarretti and Brandon Lucibello, and her great-grandchildren Sara Lesmes, Aydan Jones, Logan Jones, and Lakyn Jones.
She was predeceased by her brother John Walter Kobziak, Jr. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a friend to all. Louise was always willing to help and will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. A walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday Jan. 16, 2021 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby.
Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. in St. Mary Church, 212 Elizabeth St., Derby. Masks and social distancing are required to attend the mass.
