Louise M. Sciarretti, age 85, peacefully entered into eternal rest on August 23, 2019 at the Arden House in Hamden. She was the beloved and devoted companion of the late Maurice Barrett.
Miss Sciarretti was born in Shelton on March 24, 1934, daughter of the late John and Filomena Sciarretti. She was raised in Derby and lived most of her adult life in New Haven. Louise was employed as a clerk for State of Connecticut Off Track Betting for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping and traveling to such places as Italy and Jerusalem.
She is survived by sisters, Josephine Rovinelli and Armida Criscuolo of Derby and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Dominic Sciarretti and sisters, Vera Wilhelmy and Catherine “Kay” Andreini.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday August 30, 2019 at 11:00 am (please meet directly) at St. Mary’s Church, 212 Elizabeth Street in Derby for a Mass of Christian Burial. Inurnment will immediately follow in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. There will be no calling hours.
