Lucille C. Navarra, 88, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 5, 2015, at Griffin Hospital, with her loving daughter by her side. She was the wife of the late Theodore Navarra.
Mrs. Navarra was born in Bronx, NY on Sept. 5, 1926, daughter of the late Adelmo and Silvia DiRocco Masciovecchio. A resident of Ansonia for many years, she was employed at the former Bradlees Department Store in Derby. Lucille was an avid bowler, enjoyed reading and loved to cook for her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Michele Rovasio (Dominick) of Ansonia, cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Rovasio and Anthony Rovasio of Ansonia, several nieces and nephews, especially Carmine Lizza (Rosann) of Derby and Silvia Coscia (Frank) of Ansonia. She was predeceased by brothers, Vincent and Tony Masciovecchio and a sister, Carmela Lizza.
Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Friday May 8, 2015, at 12:00 Noon at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Visiting will take place on Friday morning from 10:00 am until the procession leaves for church at the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
