Lucy A. Tuccio Millican, 99, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on December 13, 2012, at Griffin Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late John J. Millican.
Mrs. Millican was born in Ansonia on April 7, 1913, daughter of the late Pietro and Sebastiana Luistro Tuccio. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was employed at the former Valley Dress Shop in both Ansonia and Derby since the age of thirteen and retired at age sixty-two. She was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and especially enjoyed her family.
She is survived by a son, David J. Millican and his wife Sue of Ansonia, a daughter, Elaine L. Tenedine of Ansonia, a sister, Constance Valentine of Ansonia, three cherished grandchildren, Tracey Pellegrino (Larry), Danielle Conway (Tim), and David J. Millican Jr., six great-grandchildren, Chelsea and Kali Pellegrino and Tyler, Victoria, Isabella, and D.J. Millican III, and several loving and close nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son in law, William D. Tenedine, brothers, Samuel, Michael, John, Frank, James, and Thomas Tuccio and sisters, Sara Towne and Rose Tuccio.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday December 16, 2012, from 2 – 5 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Monday, friends and relatives are invited to attend her funeral at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
