Luisa Wilber Angelino

Luisa Wilber Angelino, age 91, of Derby entered into rest on Friday, November 11, 2022 at her son’s home with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Frederick Angelino, Sr. and Vance Wilber.

Luisa was born in Torre de’ Passeri, the province of Pescara in Abruzzo Italy on December 12, 1930 daughter of the late Gaetano and Maria (Palmira Baldassare) Galante and came to America in 1953. She became a citizen shortly thereafter and was a Derby resident for the rest of her life.

She formerly was employed at Charlton Press and was a nurse’s aide at Griffin Hospital and Derby Nursing Home until she retired. She was also a landlord and had many tenants who loved and respected her. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking and was always willing to help others in need. Most of all, she loved spending time and taking care of her family.

Luisa was the beloved mother of Frederick Angelino, Jr. and his fiancee Laura Signore. She was the loving grandmother of Frederick Angelino, III and the biggest joy in her life. she was the aunt of Anna Maria Fabiano, Alessandro Fabiano, Joseph Cavallaro along with being a great aunt of several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Flavio Galante and two sisters Luciana Fabiano and Lelia Cavallaro and her nephew Frank Cavallaro.

Friends may call on Friday November 18th from 5 to 7 PM at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. On Saturday her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 9:30 AM for her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at St. Mary Church. Her burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury.
