Mabel Buckwalter, age 87, of Shelton passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at her son’s home in Seymour. She was the devoted wife of the late George Buckwalter.
Mabel was born on November 22, 1925 in Windber, PA daughter of the late Morris and Mary Ann (Saylor) Ankeney and has been a Shelton resident since 1960.
She was an active member of the Harvest Christian Center in Shelton and her favorite scripture was “He Walked With Me.”
Mabel was the loving mother of Edwin, Daniel, Terry and James Buckwalter. She also leaves eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, William Ankeney and a sister, Marian Ankeney.
Her memorial service will be held on Saturday Aug. 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM. at the Harvest Christian Center, 302 Soundview Ave., Shelton. A lunch will follow.
