Madeline C. Salzano Giori, 63, of Seymour, peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 12, 2015, in the comfort of her home, with her beloved and devoted husband Michael P. Giori by her side.
Madeline was born in Derby on Aug. 23, 1951, daughter of the late Dominic and Mary Ferlisi Salzano. A resident of Seymour for many years, she and her husband were the owners of the former Fur & Feather Pet Shop in Seymour. Later, she pursued her passion for silk floral design and was the owner of the former Treasures of Madeline in Seymour, until her retirement. Madeline loved gardening and tending to her Koi fish pond. She was also an avid supporter of the Ronald McDonald House Trees of Hope.
In addition to her husband Mike, she is survived by her cherished son, Christopher M. Giori of Seymour, brother, Dominic Salzano Jr., several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, precious toy poodle, Tori and feline friend, Cali.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 14, 2015, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Friday, family and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at St. Mary’s Church in Derby. Burial will be private.
