Madeline Cavallaro, age 102 of Shelton, wife of the late Louis Cavallaro, died March 5, 2015 at Lord Chamberlain Health and Rehab Center, Stratford.
Daughter of the late Louis and Mary Merenda, she was born on April 6th 1912 in Caserta, Italy.
She is survived by her children, Patricia Cavallaro of Ansonia, Michael Cavallaro of Florida and Marylu Bernstein and her husband David Bernstein of Shelton, five grandchildren, Lynda Patrick and her husband Lee of Shelton, Michael Verderame and his wife Korri of Shelton, Lee McLaughlin and his wife Anna of Indiana, Michele Cavallaro of Florida and Brian McLaughlin of Indiana, five great grandchildren, Keith, Nicholas, Louis, John, Nicole, a sister Jean Vaccaro and her husband Peter and many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brother Patrick Merenda, her sister Connie Hubbell and grandson David Cavallaro.
The family would like to thank the staff of Lord Chamberlain 2nd floor as well as Life Choice Hospice for their compassionate and loving care.
Entombment will be private at the convenience of the family at Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery, Derby. The James T. Toohey & Son Funeral Home, 92 Howe Ave., Shelton has been entrusted with arrangements.
