Madeline Ligouri Soules, age 93, a longtime Monroe resident and the beloved wife of the late George Soules, entered into heaven peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 in her residence.
She was born in Bridgeport, January 11, 1923 , daughter of the late James and Catherine (Anello) Ligouri.
Madeline was a devout communicant of St. Jude R.C. Church in Monroe. She and her late husband George were lifetime members of the Monroe Volunteer Fire Dept. Madeline loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.
Madeline’s family includes her devoted children daughter Sandra (Wayne) Watt of Oxford , two sons George (Brenda) Soules of N.C. and Gary Soules of Monroe, her caring brothers Armando (Martha) Ligour of FL., John Ligouri of Shelton and Raymond (Joan) Ligouri of Monroe, a loving sister Virginia(Andrew) Lauro of Stratford, her seven adoring grandchildren and six cherished great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six brothers James, Anthony, George, Louis, Thomas and Joseph Ligouri and two sisters Jean Bockiaro and Rose Schettino .
A Mass of Christian Burial in Celebration of Madeline’s life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 11:00 am DIRECTLY at St. Jude R.C. Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
