Marcia Jane (Kaddeland) Dreisbach

Marcia Jane (Kaddeland) Dreisbach passed away peacefully February 12th from complications of a stroke. 

Born in Shelton, CT July 12th, 1917 to Christen R. and Daisy (Shelton) Kaddeland, she grew up on Spring Street in Ansonia and graduated from the Shelton High School in 1934. 

She attended Vassar, class of 1938, and secretarial school in Washington, D.C.

She married William G. Dreisbach in 1942 and had two sons. During World War II she worked as a secretary for the US Maritime Commission and later was the long serving legislative assistant to Rep. A. Sydney Herlong. 

She was a longtime and proud member of the Women’s National Democratic Club and the DAR, serving as a docent at the DAR museum for many years. 

She loved traveling.Her last trip was a cruise around Asia at the age of 90! 

She is predeceased by her parents, sister Carolyn, and husband. She is survived by her sons, Bill and James, and five grandchildren.
