Margaret (Maggie) Ilona DelBuono, age 50, of Shelton, peacefully entered into rest on October 31, 2023, at home with her beloved husband Andrew DelBuono, and Beagle dog “Rebel” by her side. Margaret was born in Bridgeport on August 26, 1973.
She graduated from Notre Dame of Fairfield, and went on to earn a Master’s Degree from Johnson and Wales University, was a longtime teacher of Family and Consumer Science courses at Shelton High School, and taught many students at Rochambeau Middle School and Salisbury High School, NC. She was a competitive figure skater and taught figure skating at Wonderland Of Ice. She enjoyed crafting, cooking, traveling, golfing, skiing/snowboarding, attending Music festivals and Disney World. A Star Wars fan, Master Jedi, one with the force.
She is predeceased by her mother Joanne (Rodia) Szadeczky. Survived by her father Joseph Szadeczky, her brother Steven Szadeczky, and her Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, In-laws Frederick and Kathleen (Holley) DelBuono, Christopher DelBuono (Susan) and Robert and Ami (Atkinson) DelBuono, nephew Robert Jr. and niece Kailee.
All are welcome to greet the family at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, on Sunday, November 5, from 1 to 3 PM.
On Monday, November 6, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.Joseph’s Church, 50 Fairmont PL, Shelton at 10 AM.
