Margaret Aita Pickering, age 90 of Shelton, the beloved wife of the late Frederick Pickering, entered into rest on November 30, 2018 with her family at her bedside.
She was born on May 10, 1928 in Bronx, New York to the late Joseph and Cecilia Aita.
Besides living in Shelton, where she raised her family, she enjoyed her retirement years walking the beaches with her husband in New Port Richey, Florida.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed telling her family wonderful stories that will be told for many years through the family.
She loved holidays and family get-togethers; any chance to spend time with her family was important to her.
Margaret was the loving mother of son, Drew (Candy) Pickering of Oxford and daughter, Jody (John) Browne of Shelton. She is also survived by her grandchildren Nicole (Mike) Fitzgerald, Drew Pickering Jr, Jamie (Kristen) Browne, and Jeffrey (Shawna) Browne and eight cherished great-grandchildren – Casey and Sheamus Fitzgerald, McKenzie and Brooks Pickering, Nathan and Madelyn Browne, and Ethan and Haley Browne. She was predeceased by her husband, Frederick, and her five brothers and sisters.
Margaret requested a private burial and funeral.
The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her illness at Bishop Wicke and Wesley Heights in Shelton.
