Margery Cardella Nicoletti, age 96 of Ansonia peacefully entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 19,2017 in Phoenix, Arizona where she had been residing with her daughter for the last two years. She is the beloved wife of the late William L. Nicoletti Sr.(1970).
Margery was born in Ansonia on Dec. 1, 1920 daughter of the late Lorenzo and Rosalia Brucchierri Cardella. A lifelong resident of Ansonia, communicant of the Holy Rosary Church and The Rosary Guild, graduate in the Class of 1938 from the Ansonia High School and Stone Business College in New Haven.
Margery and her husband William started General Muffler in 1950 on Central St. Ansonia. She worked in the family business General Muffler and Auto Supply on Main St. alongside her sons and grandsons until the age of 94. Margery was strongly devoted to her family, friends and customers.
She was the widow of William L. Nicoletti Sr. (1970) , mother of the late Louis Nicoletti (2017) and sister of the late Joseph Cardella (2017), She leaves behind her brother Angelo Cardella (Karolena), her children William Nicoletti Jr. (Cindy) and Rosalyn Nicoletti McDermott (Mitch) her Daughter in law Elizabeth Nicoletti her Grandchildren Roselee Oakes (Jeff), Louis Nicoletti (Tina), Jeffrey Nicoletti (Sherry) William Nicoletti III (Megan), Ashley Harte (Brian), Jamie Constantopoulos (Amanda), Peter Constantopoulos, and Eleni Constantopoulos, her great grandchildren Beth King, Louis M. Nicoletti, Ryan Nicoletti, Madison Harte, and William Nicoletti IV and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to greet the family on Saturday September 30 from 8:00 a.m. till the start of the Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church 10 Fr. Salemi Dr. Ansonia, CT. Burial will immediately follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Rosary Church, in care of the Bennett Funeral Home 91 N. Cliff St. Ansonia. Ct. 06401
