ANSONIA: Maria DiSorbo, age 93, entered into eternal rest on August 19, 2021 at Gardner Heights Healthcare in Shelton. She was the beloved wife of the late Felice DiSorbo.
Maria was born in Gioia, Sannitica, Caserta, Italy on April 29, 1928, daughter of the late Antonio and Natalina Riccitelli Gaudio. She resided in Ansonia for most of her life after moving from Italy in 1969. Maria lived a full life as a homemaker, raising and caring for her loving family.
Maria leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Liberato DiSorbo (Cynthia) of Oxford, Angelo DiSorbo (Gina) of Cheshire and Antonio DiSorbo (Jo-Ann) of Ansonia, daughters, Maria Carmen Padilla (Paul) of Derby and Claudia DiSorbo of Ansonia, sixteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and family members in Italy. She was predeceased by a son, Giovanni DiSorbo and a daughter, Pasqualina Pannone.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday August 27, 2021, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. The family requests that face masks be worn inside the funeral home. On Saturday, August 28, 2021, relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral at 10:00 am (meeting directly) at Holy Rosary Church, Father Salemi Drive in Ansonia, for a Mass of Christian Burial.
