Marianne Eleanor Marganski of Branford, age 49, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at St. Raphael Hospital in New Haven.
She was born on June 25, 1972, daughter of the late Robert J. Marganski and Eleanor (Milenkevich) Marganski.
Marianne was a devoted employee of Atlantic Health Services for over 20 years and was the beloved mother of Derek Anthony Lopes who she would speak so proudly of.
She loved taking walks along the beach near the Thimble Islands, traveling to Florida to escape the cold weather and calling people late at night to talk for hours. She was an avid chef who especially enjoyed making lobster, chili and her mother’s beef stew. As many people can attest to, Marianne was a very witty, humorous and sarcastic person often “stirring the pot” on Facebook but was a genuine and kind-hearted friend and sister.
Knowing Marianne, she is looking down on us with a huge smile on her face probably sitting on a beach near the ocean singing “I got my toes in the water, ass in the sand, not a worry in the world, a cold beer in my hand, life is good today, life is good today.”
In addition to her son Derek, she is survived by twelve of her siblings Robert Marganski, Patricia Castle and her husband Richard, Steven Marganski and his wife Patricia, Jeanne Millea and her husband Kevin, Carol Ford and her husband Paul, John Marganski and his wife Trish, Donna Cybart and her husband Eugene, Linda Zalinsky and her husband Stanley, Alan Marganski, William Marganski, Brian Marganski and Paul Marganski and his wife Jennifer. She was predeceased by two sisters Debra Marganski and Mary Lou Marganski, her brother Edward Marganski and her dog, best friend, and companion Roxie Puff.
Friends are invited to greet Marianne’s family on Thursday, December 2 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Masks are required while inside the funeral home. On Saturday, December 4, friends are invited to go directly to St. Joseph Church, 32 Jewett St., Ansonia at 10 a.m. for her Mass of Christian Burial.
