Marie (Bielen) Perry, age 48, of Southport, entered into eternal life on Saturday, September 29, 2012 at the Connecticut Health of Southport after many years of fighting Multiple Sclerosis.
Marie was born in Derby, Connecticut on July 3, 1964, beloved daughter of Helen (Kapusta) Bielen and the late Bernard Bielen. She was a Shelton resident most of her life. Marie received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Bridgeport and worked for Southern New England Telephone before leaving due to her illness.
Marie loved art, music, movies, skiing and being at the ocean. She enjoyed life to its fullest and always saw the positive in everything. Most of all, she cherished her family and friends. Marie was the loving mother of Matt Perry of Shelton, sister of Kevin Bielen and his wife, Kimberly and adoring aunt to their children: Henry, Helen and Ben Bielen, all living in Hamden, Connecticut. Marie also had several other nephews and nieces out of state.
Friends and family may call on Thursday, Oct.4th, from 4 to 8 pm at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Friday, Oct. 5th, her funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:45 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave. Shelton.
