Marilyn Elizabeth Kilian

Marilyn Elizabeth Kilian, 88, a long-time resident of Seymour, Connecticut, residing in Spring Lake, North Carolina passed away peacefully on Friday March 12th, 2021 with her loving daughter and the caring staff of The Gardens of Roseboro assisted living by her side. 

Beloved wife of the late Milton Kilian. Survived by daughter Kim (Andrew Kemblowski) Kilian, son Craig (Kathleen) Kilian, granddaughters Sarah and Emily Kilian, grandson Adam (Bri) Kemblowski, and great-granddaughters Alexis and Aliana Kemblowski. Besides her husband she was predeceased be her sister Dorothea Marshall. Marilyn was born July 26, 1932 in Astoria, New York, the daughter of the late William and Mabel Davis. 

Among her career milestones, she partnered in a small business in downtown Seymour selling women’s clothing. She had many passions in life, including fashion, travel and crafting. Marilyn was a longtime fan of the UConn women’s basketball team. She will be remembered for her wit, as everyone cherished her clever jokes in her later years. Marilyn loved animals and spending time with her furry friends. 

Above all else she was a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished her family above all things, and her pride and joy were her granddaughters. 

The services will be private, but her family hopes to host a memorial mass in her honor in the future. The family suggests to those who wish to express sympathy to make a donation in Marilyn’s honor to the amazing organization that cared for her during these most difficult times.
