Marilyn L. Scippa, 62, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest in the afternoon of March 24, 2014, at Griffin Hospital, following a short battle with cancer. She is the beloved wife of Paul A. Scippa.
Marilyn was born in Fall River, MA on May 28, 1952, daughter of the late Robert and Helen O’Driscoll. She was employed at the former Pathmark in Bridgeport, Wire Mold Corp. in West Hartford and retired from Stop & Shop in Ansonia. Marilyn enjoyed the beach, playing Bingo and visiting the casinos.
In addition to her husband Paul, she is survived by two loving daughters, Dawn Birsall of Waterbury and Kandice Batts (Nicholas) of Rocky Mount, NC, two brothers, Robert O’Driscoll of New Britain and Michael O’Driscoll of Branford, four cherished grandchildren, Robert Scippa, Kayleigh Kantorowski, Jessie and Nicholas Batts and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John O’Driscoll.
A memorial gathering and celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Friday March 28, 2014, from 5 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. Interment will be private.
