Mark A. Lastauskas, 43, of Naugatuck, formerly of Ansonia, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on July 8, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Rita Consales Lastauskas.
Mark was born in Derby on July 12, 1971, son of Susan Antinozzi of Oxford and Anthony Lastauskas (Julie) of SC. A graduate of Ansonia High School Class of 1990, he was employed at Santoro Construction in Newington. Mark was an avid golfer and softball player, a fan of the NY Giants and Boston Red Sox, and most of all enjoyed sitting at his bar with family and friends having a few drinks.
In addition to his wife and parents, he is survived by a brother, Greg M. Lastauskas (companion Jill) of Naugatuck, sister, Victoria Dziubina (Jason) of Ansonia, maternal grandmother, Justine Fenwick Antinozzi of Oxford, uncle and aunt, Arthur and Jean Antinozzi of Seymour, cherished niece, Alyssa Lastauskas, nephews, Christopher and Preston Dziubina, many cousins, friends and canine buddies, which were his pride and joy, Bella and Brutus. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Antinozzi Sr. and paternal grandparents, Victor and Elizabeth Lastauskas.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday July 13, 2015, from 4 – 8 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. On Tuesday, friends and family are invited to attend Mark’s funeral at 10:00 am (PLEASE MEET DIRECTLY) at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby.
