Mark (Flash) E. Flach, age 68, of Oxford, the beloved husband of 47 years Elizabeth Griswold Flach entered rest peacefully on Friday, July 21, 2023 surrounded by his loving family at Waterbury Hospital. He was born in Derby on January 17,1955, the beloved son of Eleanor Haversat Flach of Seymour and the late Melvin E. Flach.
Mark was the President of Flash Signs, LLC of Beacon Falls and founded the company 40 years ago in 1983. He has been a resident of Oxford for the past 47 years. Mark was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Naugatuck. He was a graduate of Seymour High School, Class of 1972. Mark’s passion was to build cars and attend many car shows. He loved to golf, fish, and go to the beach. His most cherished time was spent with his treasured granddaughter Savannah. Mark will be sadly missed by all but will remain forever in our hearts.
In addition to Mark’s beloved wife Elizabeth and beloved mother Eleanor, his loving family includes his two loving sons Matthew E. Flach (Jill) of Seymour and Michael C. Flach of Oxford, his caring brother Gary J. Flach (Dana) of Oxford, his cherished granddaughter Savannah L. Flach of Oxford, and his caring nephew Brian Flach (Rachel ) of Massachusetts. Mark was predeceased by his father Melvin E. Flach and his grandparents William and Harriet Crowther Haversat and John and Ida Bouteiller Flach.
A Memorial Service in Celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023, at 11:00 am in the chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (RT. 67, across from Klarides Village) in Seymour, with the Reverend Gregory Wismar, Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Naugatuck, officiating. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Thursday, July 27 ‚2023 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm and Friday morning 10:00 am until 11:00 am. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
