Martha L. Auer, age 82, of Shelton, formerly of Fairfield, Trumbull and Milton,Vermont, died October 29, 2012 at the Apple Health Care Center, Shelton.
She was born in Alliance, OH on September 30, 1930 and held a Masters Degree in Library Science from Southern CT State University where she met several dear and lifelong friends. She worked as a Librarian for many years in the Fairfield Public School System, including Fairfield High School, Joel Barlow High School, the Fairfield Public Library and Fairfield University. She also worked at Colchester High School, Colchester, VT for 15 years, until her retirement in 2005.
Ms. Auer is survived by her devoted children, Karen Bates and her husband, Robert of Fairfax, VT, Joseph Auer and his wife, Georgia of Caseville, MI and Robert Auer of Easton, CT; as well as cherished grandchildren, Sara, Rebecca and J.J. Auer, her great-grandchildren and her former husband, Joseph Auer of Del Ray Beach, FL.
