Martin J. McGuire, 55, of Seymour, unexpectedly entered into eternal rest on June 23, 2013, in his home.
Marty was born in Derby on April 7, 1958, beloved son of Frederick J. McGuire Jr. and Lillian J. Aldo McGuire of Seymour.
He was previously employed in the quality control dept. at Lacey Manufacturing in Bridgeport. Marty was a very generous person, a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox, and enjoyed following NASCAR.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by a loving brother, Frederick J. McGuire III and his wife Laura of Oxford, a loving sister, Marcia McGuire of Seymour, nieces and nephews, Matthew McGuire and Megan McGuire of Oxford, Amy Alsdorf of Seymour and Erin Saravia and her husband Welner of Maryland, a great nephew, Joel Saravia and many cousins and friends.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday June 27, 2013, from 4 – 7 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia.
On Friday, relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral at 9:15 am from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at the Church of the Assumption in Ansonia. Interment will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Marty’s name may be made to the Church of the Assumption through the funeral home.
