Mary A. (Flynn) Kravec, 72, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, March 1, 2017, in the comfort of her home, with her loving family by her side. She was the beloved wife of 54 years to Michael J. Kravec Jr.
Mrs. Kravec was born in Milford on September 28, 1944, daughter of the late Michael and Jane Beler Flynn. She was employed at the former Wayside Furniture and Linens & Things in Milford until her retirement. Mary enjoyed reading and crocheting.
In addition to her husband Michael, she is survived by a son, Michael J. Kravec of Ansonia, daughters, Michelle Baker (Andrew) of Woodbridge, VA, Melissa Lindgren (Eric) of Derby and Meredith Papst (Jason) of Oxford, sisters, Patricia Jiroudek of AZ and Kathleen Hendricks of NY, cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Taylor Baker, Meredith Deckert, Adam & Kelsie Lindgren, Evan & Blake Kravec, Madison & Julian Papst, a great-grandson, Tyson Deckert and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Michael, Robert, Thomas and William Flynn and sisters, Ellen Vincent and Jane Smith.
Visiting hours will be held on Saturday March 4, 2017, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm in the chapel of the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia. At 3:00 pm, a funeral service in celebration of Mary’s life will take place with Deacon Richard Renker officiating. Interment will be private.
