Mary Ann Felice Bacha

Mary Ann Felice Bacha, age 87, of Oxford, formerly of Seymour, the beloved wife to the late William Peter Bacha Sr. entered into eternal rest peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Griffin Hospital, Derby, surrounded by her loving family. 

She was born in Derby, on December 15, 1927 the beloved daughter of the late Pasqual and Louise (Pasucco) Felice. Mary Ann was a devout communicant of the Church of the Good Shepherd and it was there she taught Religious Education. She and her late husband William enjoyed making rosary beads for family and friends. Mary Ann graduated from Derby High School in 1947 and was an avid homemaker. She enjoyed doing puzzles, watching T.V. and traveling and going on cruises with her late husband. But the joy of her life was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great ‑grandchildren. Mary Ann will be sadly missed by all and will remain forever in our hearts.

Her loving family includes her caring sons William P. Bacha, Jr, and his wife Christine of Durham, Thomas R. Bacha and his wife Debra of Naugatuck and Ronald J. Bacha of Seymour; her devoted daughter Nancyjo Auscavitch and her husband Jay of Oxford, with whom she made her home; a loving sister Helen Felice of Derby; six loving grandchildren Gregory and Mark Cesaroni, Jessica Brennan, Christopher Bacha, Kathleen Laskowski and Michelle Bacha, her four cherished great-grandchildren Ryan, Summer, Jessica and Luke and many nieces and nephews. Mary Ann was predeceased by five brothers Sal Felice, James Felice, Anthony Felice and twins Frank Felice and Joseph Felice and her two sisters Santa Felice and Annette Baltes.

A Funeral Service in Celebration of Mary Ann’s life will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of the Miller-Ward Funeral Home, 260 Bank St. (opposite Klarides Village, Rt. 67) Seymour with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 am at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 135 Mountain Rd. Seymour. Interment in the family plot will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery, Derby. Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home Saturday, March 14, 2015 from 8:30 am until 10:00 am.
