Mary Anne (Valinsky) Brickett

Mary Anne (Valinsky) Brickett, age 80, of Shelton, entered into rest on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Griffin Hospital with her loving family by her side. 

She was the devoted wife of the late William F. Brickett, Sr. She was born in Wilkes-Barre, PA on February 16, 1940, daughter of the late John and Rose Jesikiewic Valinsky. Mary Anne was a Secretary for John J. Brennan Construction Company for many years until her retirement. Mary Anne was a volunteer at Hewitt Memorial Hospital in Shelton. 

She enjoyed camping and crocheting. She is the beloved mother of William F. Brickett and his wife Linda, Timothy Brickett and Allison White and her husband Tyler, loving grandmother of Brenden and Shannon Brickett and Zachary and Cody White. She is also survived by two brothers John Valinsky and Eugene Valinsky and his wife Teresa and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister-in-law Robyn Valinsky. 

A public walk-through visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 17, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth Street, Derby, Visitors are required to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through. Friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, 5 Donovan Lane Shelton. 

Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. Masks and social distancing of friends and family are required for attendance at the Mass and Cemetery. Online condolences can be offered at http://www.adzimafh.com.
