Mary Curtis

Mary Curtis, 94, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into rest on October 8, 2010, at the Shady Knoll Health Care in Seymour. She was predeceased by her husband George Curtis. 

Mrs. Curtis was born in Beaverton, PA on March 16, 1916, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ann Capri Girage. A resident of Ansonia for most of her life, she enjoyed tending to her home and spending time with her family. 

She is survived by a son, John Salerno of West Haven, a brother, Michael Girage of Buffalo, NY, two sisters, Catherine Bilotto and Josephine Faccento of Shelton, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lillian Burnett and a sister, Lillian LiPuma. 

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday October 14, 2010, at 10:00 am, at the Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Inurnment will follow in Mt. St. Peter’s Cemetery in Derby. Per Mary’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, has been privileged with the arrangements.
